Barley Manor - Nurse - Bank

About the role:

Bring your nursing training to life and make a difference to people's lives every day with a rewarding career at Porthaven Care Homes. Whether you are at the start of your career, or have years of experience as a Registered Nurse, working within a Porthaven care home can be incredibly fulfilling.

As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will care for our residents like you would care for your own family, looking after their physical, psychological and social needs and ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care.

You will create a safe and supportive environment for our residents who have a range of physical and mental needs.  Relying on your professional judgement, you will make critical clinical decisions. You can expect a wide range of responsibilities, from developing tailored care plans to administering medicine safely and delivering excellence across everything you do.

You will have the autonomy to do things the right way – and be valued and respected for what you do.

About you

Cheerful, caring and compassionate by nature, with good reading, writing and communication skills, you will have a flexible approach to working shifts.  You will be passionate about care and making a positive difference to the lives of older people.

You will be a qualified RGN or RMN with a valid NMC pin number and a good knowledge of the most up to date clinical practices. It would be useful if you have experience as a staff nurse or registered nurse in a care home environment, but this is not essential.  We also believe in giving you a great career pathway and we are committed to supporting you on your journey.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

  • The care and support shown to my mother have been exceptional during her time here. They have shown the utmost respect and dignity towards her. The actual home is excellent in décor and the staff are always welcoming and cheerful. Would highly recommend.
