Astbury Mere is a beautiful care home that provides expert 24-hour residential, dementia, nursing and respite care for up to 62 elderly residents. The home boasts an array of modern facilities, including beautifully decorated bedrooms equipped with ensuite wet-rooms, a selection of stylish communal lounges, a plethora of restaurants, a hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room, a private dining room and secure landscaped gardens.

As a Passenger Assistant Carer on our team, you will care for our residents as if they were members of your own family, recognising that each one of them is an individual with their own needs and preferences. You will play an important role in helping our residents who require assistance with transport. Whether they are travelling to engage in hobbies, outings or entertainment organised by our dedicated Leisure and Wellness Team, you will be there to provide safe and person-centred care at all times.

About you:

You will be cheerful, caring and compassionate and possess good reading and writing skills.  You will also have a flexible approach to working shifts.  If you have experience in care, that is great, but your personal qualities are far more important to us and we will provide full training and support for you to start your career in care. 

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
